About - Lolo Community Church

About Us

The roots of Lolo Church go back to the early 1900s when people interested in knowing God began to gather for worship in the Lolo area.  For many years, believers gathered in a small Methodist church on Highway 93.  As the church grew, it was gifted the land is currently stands on at 11897 Lewis and Clark Dr in Lolo.

Pastor Gale Fister came on the scene in 1963.  In the early days, the church centered on a Sunday School ministry in the morning, and then gathered in the evenings to hear Gale, who was an itinerant minister in the area with the Rocky Mountain Bible Mission, open God’s word to them.

The current church sanctuary was built in 1968 and the church called Gale to become the full-time pastor in 1975.  Gale served in that position faithfully until 2003, when he shifted to the role of pastor emeritus.  In 2004, the church called Jeff Boschmann as the new lead pastor of the church.

Lolo Community Church has always endeavored to be a true, multi-generational, community church with the goal of ministering primarily to the community of Lolo and providing a place of Bible teaching and worship for the surrounding area.  The church is also an active member of the Rocky Mountain Bible Mission(opens in new tab) (RMBM), supporting their ministry of planting and nurturing Bible-preaching churches in small towns in western Montana and northern Idaho.  Lolo Community Church has always had a vital part the outreach of the RMBM, especially the camping ministry.

Today our heart is the same – to provide a place of Bible teaching, worship and service for our community and the surrounding area for all ages.  Our hope is to nurture a multi-generational church family that grows in their faith in God and seeks to serve our wider community.
